Our story started in Spring of 2022 when Nathan and Elizabeth both had Criminal Law together. They both sat on opposite sides of the room with Elizabeth in the back and Nathan in the middle, making it to where they could catch each others eyes. Throughout the semester they would catch each others eyes and look away quickly when they got caught, hoping the other one would talk to them first. A few days after the semester ended Elizabeth found Nathan on instagram, because he was the ONLY one to introduce himself during a presentation, and decided to message him. She sent him a message and he made her wait over 12 hours before he responded!! They talked for over a week on Instagram before they were able to go on their first date.
On their first date, Nathan took Elizabeth to a park. However, he decided to go based off of memory instead of looking at directions and went the completely wrong way, until Elizabeth pointed it out. After they finally arrived, they sat at the park for about 3-4 hours just talking and getting to know one another. Once it was getting dark and they were getting hungry, they chose to go to a Mexican restaurant. Where they talked more and asked hard hitting questions one normally wouldn't ask on a first date. After dinner, Nathan took Elizabeth back home and as they were saying good bye Nathan asked if he could kiss Elizabeth and she so kindly said yes. It was magical.
By the time our wedding rolls around, we will be together for about 3 and a half years. It has been the most amazing and crazy time, but we wouldn't have it any other way. We are both so excited for the future and the life we get to build and have together. And to think none of this would be happening if Elizabeth had mustered up the courage to text Nathan.
